Since its inception in 2004, the self-described “healing and easy listening” group Band of Horses has become familiar with peaks and valleys of all kinds. At first they became acquainted with the unpredictable valley of launching a rock ‘n’ roll band—finding the money, the time and the perfect bandmates. But once guitarist and vocalist Ben Bridwell overcame near bankruptcy, quit his day job and assembled the ideal collective, the peaks and valleys before him became the topographical beauties like the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Mojave Desert that inspired the band’s most recent album, Infinite Arms. With their songs climbing charts and appearing in the soundtrack of the Twilight film Eclipse, Band of Horses are touring the US and Europe, bringing their transcendent music to an audience impatient for more.
