Performing with Five for Fighting and Hightide Blues

If you could only see how much work Emerson Hart, Jeff Russo and Dan Lavery put into their hit singles and platinum records for more than a decade, maybe you’d understand why they took a two year break from touring together. With six Top 10 singles, two Grammy nominations and more than 4 million records sold, Tonic exploded in 1998 when they had the No. 1 most played rock song of the year. They went on to release two studio albums and an EP before taking their time of creative renewal. The trio again joined forces and wrote and recorded a self-titled album, which released in May. Touring and writing together again, the prolific friends say they feel like they’ve come home.
